Special Education

North Mason School District provides special education service to qualified students in each school building including students in our Developmental Preschool Program. Students age birth to three years are enrolled in the Holly Ridge Developmental Center.

Along with specially designed instruction in the schools, students may receive speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, transition services and/or psychological and counseling services based upon their needs.

Homeless students or youth who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence are also eligible for special education services.  For more information contact the district Homeless Liaison, Jennifer Johnen, at (360) 277-2241.

If you feel that your student may qualify for special education services, please contact the school psychologist, counselor, principal or your child's teacher at their school.
