North Mason Families,
As many of you begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we wanted to send a quick reminder about several important calendar and schedule changes.
Here are the key updates:
✅ Semester Schedule (K–12)
Beginning in 2026–27, we are moving from trimesters to semesters. This creates more consistency with surrounding districts and simplifies grading and scheduling.
✅ New Conference Schedule (All Schools)
Conferences will now follow the same format districtwide:
•Wednesday: Early release with evening conferences
•Thursday: No school, full-day conferences
•Friday: No school, morning conferences
✅ Spring Break Dates
Spring Break will be April 12–16, 2027 (one week later than in past years).
✅ Secondary Start & End Times (Grades 6–12)
Middle and high school schedules will shift 15 minutes earlier:
•Regular day: 7:45 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.
•Early release: 7:45 a.m. – 1:05 p.m.
•Half day: 7:45 a.m. – 11:10 a.m.
These changes help improve consistency, support instruction, and better align transportation.
We’ll continue to share reminders throughout the summer to help families prepare.
Thank you for taking time now to plan ahead—we look forward to a great school year!
Have a wonderful summer,

North Mason High School Athletics is proud to welcome Nolan Winter as the new Head Boys Basketball Coach of the Bulldogs.
Coach Winter brings a deep connection to the Olympic League and Mason County. Growing up in Gig Harbor with family roots in Mason County, Nolan spent many summers on Mason Lake and developed his love for the game while watching his father coach Peninsula High School basketball in the Olympic League. Those experiences helped shape his passion for basketball, leadership, and community.
A three-year varsity basketball player at Peninsula High School, Coach Winter went on to earn his Washington State Teaching Certificate and has spent the past seven years serving as an elementary school teacher in the Peninsula School District. During that time, he built an impressive coaching resume as a varsity assistant coach, JV head coach, and girls basketball program coach.
Coach Winter believes basketball is much more than a game—it is a training ground for life. His commitment to developing young men both on and off the court aligns perfectly with the values of North Mason Athletics. His vision centers on building strong relationships, fostering accountability, developing character, and creating a competitive program that our students, families, and community can be proud of.
We are incredibly excited to welcome Coach Winter and his family to the Bulldog community. His passion for teaching, coaching, and mentorship will be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes, and we look forward to watching him build an exciting and successful basketball program here at North Mason.
Please join us in welcoming Coach Nolan Winter to North Mason High School Athletics.
Go Bulldogs!

Today our Class of 2026 graduates took part in one of our most meaningful traditions—the Senior Walk! 💙💛
Wearing their caps and gowns, our seniors walked the halls of Hawkins Middle School before heading out on buses to visit Sand Hill Elementary, Belfair Elementary, and Grapeview School—revisiting the places where their educational journey began.
A special thank you to Grapeview School for sending a bus to pick up the seniors who once walked your halls—we truly appreciate your support in making this day so special!
This tradition is one of our favorites, inspiring students of all ages to dream big, work hard, and graduate. It was especially heartwarming to see younger siblings watching their older brothers and sisters walk by in their caps and gowns—what a powerful moment! ❤️
Congratulations to our seniors—you are inspiring the future! 🎉
Graduation is tomorrow at 7pm at Phil Pugh Stadium.

Each year, Windermere Real Estate sets aside the first Friday in June for their annual Day of Service—closing both their Allyn and Belfair offices so brokers and staff can give back to the communities they serve 🤝✨ We were so fortunate to be one of the recipients of their kindness and hard work this year!
Despite the weather not cooperating 🌧️, these dedicated volunteers showed true resilience and spirit. They were caught in a downpour that temporarily paused their efforts, yet through it all, they kept smiles on their faces 😊 As soon as they could, they were right back outside—working even in the rain—to make a difference for our students and staff 💪🌧️
Your commitment, teamwork, and willingness to serve—even in less-than-ideal conditions—did not go unnoticed 🙌 Because of you, our campus is a more beautiful and welcoming place 🌸🌼
Thank you to each and every one of you for your generosity, enthusiasm, and community spirit. We are truly grateful! 💖👏
