Breakfast and Lunch Menus

 

 

NMSD is participating in a federal program available to all schools as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).  This means that all students attending all schools in North Mason School District are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no charge throughout the 2022-23 school year regardless of family or household income.  We encourage all students to participate in both the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program. However, some of the education programs the district provides are funded from state dollars that require our school to collect household information for all students attending CEP schools.

In order to collect the information, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) has developed the Family Income Survey. The Family Income Survey is used to capture information and ensure the district/school receives all of the funding it is entitled to for other state funded education programs. Please take a moment to complete this form and return it to your student’s school. Your participation is essential in order for us to provide OSPI with the information they need and ensure NMSD will continue to receive critical state funding for these educational programs.

The food and beverages we serve at NMSD meet the state and federal requirements, which are based on the USDA Dietary and Smart Snack Guidelines. Even though all students eat for free, we are still encouraging our families to complete a Family Income Survey

Each student may have one free reimbursable breakfast and lunch per day. 

A reimbursable meal consists of

Breakfast: 1 grain, 1 fruit, and 1 milk.

Lunch: 1 grain, 1 meat, 1 fruit, 1 vegetable, and 1 milk.

Students must take a minimum of 3 items, with 1 of them being a fruit or vegetable for it to be considered a meal.

All other items: Water, drinks, extra entrees, snacks, etc. must be paid for by the student and are not part of the meal. Students must have funds in their lunch accounts or cash at the time of purchase in order to do so. There is no line of credit extended for a la cart purchases. 

Middle and High School students will need their student PIN to access their lunch accounts at school.

Breakfast: $2.50

Lunch: $4.50

 

 

 

Online Student Meal Plan Payments/Balances  - As a convenience to parents, North Mason School District parents can add money to their child's school account online through Skyward Family Access. Student that would like to make an a la cart purchase must have funds in their account or cash at the time of purchase in order to do so.
