NM Online

Greetings North Mason Online (NMOL) Community,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! We are excited to be providing North Mason Online to our community and look forward to working with each and every one of you. Our goal is to support you by offering you and your student a community of learning--where you will feel a sense of belonging, a place to grow academically, socially and emotionally and develop into independent thinkers prepared for the future.

North Mason Online will offer many opportunities. And, we know you have many questions. Below we have listed answered some frequently asked questions that will help you as we begin this journey together:

What is online learning?

Online learning: NMOL is designed to provide your students with the richest of online learning experiences. All online courses are aligned with the Washington State Standards. We will be using FuelEd for our K-5 students and Edgenuity for our 6-12 students.

Who are our staff? NMOL staff: Certificated teachers who will be receiving additional professional development training to be ready to work with your students academically, socially, and emotionally.  Your child’s teacher will be reaching out to connect with your family.

How will we get started? Online Learning Orientation Packet: Please read the packet thoroughly and jot down questions you have when you receive the packet. It will be in your email next week.

What will our schedule look like? Scheduling: Online courses will be active  9/2/20 and not before. The most productive way to prepare for the school year and learn how to access courses and navigate Fuel Ed K-5 and Edgenuity Courses 6-12 is to interact with the Online Learning Orientation Packet.

Orientation: NMOL will host a series of orientation and training opportunities for students and families. The goal is to continue familiarizing you with our school and to assist with navigating online learning.

Upcoming communication: Please stay tuned for a series of communication emails. The emails will be containing information about schedules, trainings, and opening of school activities.

Soon we will be reaching out to you and your family to ensure you have received this information and to answer any questions. We welcome your questions and are here to support you. Enjoy the rest of your summer—we cannot wait to meet each of you!

Sincerely Your North Mason On-Line Team,
